Introduction
Shuitsanlin International Englsih Village (SIEV) is now officially open. We extend our sincere gratitude to Yunlin County Government who funded this project in the rural town of Shuilin. With the extensive input from the staff, county and the community the delivery of a successul educational program willtake flight. We hope that the learners in Yunlin County will benefit extensively from this learning environment . It will allow the students to practice "real life" English in the immersion style of teaching.The Shuitsanlin International International English Village provides various simulated Englsih-language scenarios, including an airport lobby, an ATM, a ship, supermarket, and currency exchange. The students are obliged to speak English in the village which purports to offer an "overseas experience" for the students.Students can learrn hot to use English to buy airplane tickets, to oreder food in a restaurant, shop for groceries in a supermarket. We shall continue to update information as the facilities and the learning materials will grow.
A series of one-day learning tours for elementary school students will be held at the Yunlin County Shuitsanlin Elementary School International Englih Village from March 2012.
雲林縣水燦林國小國際英語村(SIEV)已正式開幕。我們非常感謝雲林縣政府的贊助，因此我們
也希望雲林縣來參加的學生們體驗到學習在一個全英語的環境裡，培養學生的英語程度。雲林縣水燦林
國小國際英語村提供英語的設備與教材像是，機場大廳，提款機，船，市場與兌換貨幣區。學生們能透
過這些設備， 提高他們的國際英語水準。有了這些設備，學生們能夠應用英語來拾取登機證，點餐，
購物等。而隨著時間我們會增加更多學習的資源。預計在三月份，2012年，水燦林國小國際英語村將舉
辦給小學學生英語村的ㄧ日遊活動，歡迎報名者踴躍參加。
